If you have a Bank of America Cash Rewards card, check your emails for a targeted promotion that will earn you an extra 1% on your purchases. Normally that is not a huge deal, but the card has several categories that you can choose to earn 3% cash back.

Offer Terms
- To be eligible, you first must activate this offer.
- Once activated, you will earn an additional 1% in cash rewards when you use your account to make purchase transactions (exclusive of any fees, returns and adjustments) from the date you activate the offer through June 30, 2021.

- Allow up to 12 weeks after the promotion ends for the promotional cash rewards to be added to your rewards balance.

The Bank of America Cash Rewards card is already one of the best cards for purchases at gas stations and drugstores. Now you can can get a total of 4% back on the category that you choose. Other eligible categories include online shopping, dining, travel, and home improvement/furnishings.
It gets even better for Preferred Rewards members who can earn an additional 25%-75% cash back on every purchase. That means the 3% choice category could go up to 5.25% and with the added 1%, it goes up to 6.25%.
