American Express has sent out some emails and mailers in the last few days, offering a generous bonus for signing up for ‘Pay Over Time’. We see this Amex Pay Over Time bonus every few months, and it is usually a targeted offer. But sometimes you’re able to get it even when not receiving an email.

The “Pay Over Time” program is available for American Express charge cards and it basically makes them credit cards, as you don’t have to pay in full by your due date. DON’T DO THIS.
