DoC reports that some people are seeing an offer for “2x Membership Rewards points on all purchases made with your Amex Platinum card both in-store and online”. It expires on 10/30/2016, but make sure you add it to your card right away if you see it.

That’s double the normal earning rate and it’s limited to $100K spend. Considering the value of MR points, this will be at least worth about 3% back on all purchases.

$60 Off $400 At Home Depot (Targeted)

There’s also another great targeted offer that could net you a 15% discount at Home Depot. You can get a one-time $60 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $400+ in one or more transactions in-store at The Home Depot or online at HomeDepot.com by 9/30/2016.

Home depot sells lots of gift cards so you could earn a nice discount at other merchants as well.
