American Express recently refreshed its iconic Green Card. It now offers better earning rates and a good bonus of 45,000 Membership Rewards points. It’s also possible to refer people for a 35K bonus and earn a referral bonus, which might be better in some cases.
But now American Express is also sending offers to some people by mail. The offer is for 30,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $2,000 in purchases within the first 90 days. That’s not the best offer possible, but it does have something of value. No lifetime language. Which means that people who have had the Amex Green Card in the past, can apply and get the bonus again. Check your emails for subject “Presenting the new American Express® Green Card”.

30K points is not a good offer, but it’s a bonus opportunity to earn another bonus on the same card that you’ve had in the past. If you’re not sure if you have had this card, you can simply check with Amex. Cards that you had over 7 years ago usually fall of your record. And yes, the Amex Green card is still a charge card, not a credit card as it was rumored.
