Amex Platinum Card, New Streaming and Wireless Credits Explained

American Express has introduced new limited-time offers for cardholders. The new offerings are a way for customers to get extra value out of premium cards while not being able to use their travel perks and benefits. One of those cards is the Amex Business Platinum Card that has a $595 annual fee. With this card, you can now get a monthly $20 shipping credit, a monthly $20 wireless credit and up to $200 for Dell purchases through the end of the year. So that is a total of $520 in credits if maximized. Now let’s look at the details of each category, and what purchases qualify for these credits.

  • To be eligible for this benefit, Card Account(s) must be not canceled and not past due at the time of statement credits fulfillment.

Guru’s Wrap-up

These credits definitely give you extra value for the Amex Business Platinum card. You can get $20 monthly for shipping services, $20 for wireless services, and then another $200 in Dell credits. If maximized that is an extra $520. However, again American Express is not making these credits easy to use by giving them monthly in small amounts. The Dell credit is a bit easier. One purchase before the end of June should trigger $200 in credits and then another one between July and December will trigger $200 more.

Let me know what you think. Will this credit convince you to keep your Business Platinum card?
