Amazon Now Wait-lists New Online Grocery Customers

Amazon said this week that it is placing new grocery delivery customers on a wait list. Hours at Whole Foods will also be shorter for the public, to prioritize online orders from existing customers during the coronavirus outbreak.

Prime members currently shopping Whole Foods Market can continue shopping Whole Foods Market.

For new Whole Foods Market customers, Whole Foods Market grocery delivery on Amazon.com is available by invitation only at this time. Please visit www.amazon.com/wholefoods to request an invitation.

Amazon offers grocery delivery services from Amazon Fresh and Amazon Prime Now. Orders are shipped from Amazon warehouses and Whole Foods stores. Amazon advertised a one-hour delivery option for a fee and free two-hour delivery on orders over $35. But in recent weeks has been extremely difficult for customers to find any delivery slots at all. Last month, Amazon also temporarily suspended the Prime Pantry delivery service.
