Weddings aren’t cheap. But if you’re going to spend a small fortune feeding your friends and relatives, you might as well earn some Hyatt points along the way.
World of Hyatt members who hold their wedding or commitment ceremony at a participating Hyatt hotel can earn bonus points that can be redeemed for free nights at Hyatt properties worldwide. And yes, those points could help pay for the honeymoon.
There’s also a nice elite-status angle. Hyatt awards 2 Tier Qualifying Night credits for every $5,000 in eligible revenue from the event. So a $25,000 qualifying wedding, for example, would earn 10 elite night credits toward World of Hyatt status.
How It Works
You’ll need to be a World of Hyatt member and request offer code HMOON in your wedding or commitment ceremony contract. The contract must include the offer code by December 31, 2027, and the event needs to take place at a participating Hyatt hotel.
The earning structure is:
- $5,000 qualifying spend: 30,000 World of Hyatt Bonus Points
- $10,000 qualifying spend: 60,000 points
- $20,000 qualifying spend: 90,000 points
- $30,000 qualifying spend: 120,000 points
- $40,000 qualifying spend: 150,000 points
Qualifying spend includes eligible catering and banqueting charges, but excludes taxes, gratuities, service charges, room revenue and outside vendor or supplier charges.
