Bilt Card 2.0 Coming February 7
Bilt has shared more details about transitioning its credit card program from Wells Fargo to Cardless.
Bilt Card 2.0 officially launches February 7th, 2026. In early January, they will have a special event where they will reveal the three new cards. After the announcement, you’ll be able to select which card is right for you.
For now you can continue using your current Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard through February 6th, 2026. Your points and Bilt membership remain exactly the same.
If you choose to transition to the new Bilt Card 2.0, you’ll be able to transfer any balance from your old Wells Fargo account. You may also close down your Wells Fargo account. If you choose to keep your Wells Fargo account open, the old account will become an Autograph Visa card with a different card number.
Bilt also says that:
- All your major subscriptions, autopay, and saved payment methods stay the same. And everything in the Bilt app transitions over with no action needed from you.
- Your Apple Pay and Google Pay will automatically refresh with your new card.
- Select from three new cards with no hard inquiry on your credit report. But it will count as a new credit line in your report and affect your 5/24 status.
- You can choose to get one of the new Bilt cards, and also keep the current card which will convert to Autograph Visa Card (even if you already have an Autograph Visa Card).
- In addition to points on rent, your new Bilt Card 2.0 will let you earn points on mortgage payments, regardless of who your mortgage servicer is.
Hopefully we will also see an official announcement of Bilt’s partnership with Rakuten, which could be a huge addition.
