Earn 10X Miles for Donations

If you are looking to donate to a charity right now, Southwest and American Airlines have an extra incentive. You can earn 10x miles if you donate $25 or more to some charities.

Southwest Airlines

Donate $25 or more to one of our partner charities and receive 10 Rapid Rewards bonus points for every dollar. Now through May 31, 2020.

Anyone who donates $25 or more to one of the charities below will receive ten Rapid Rewards® points for every dollar donated. Points will be reflected in your Rapid Rewards account within 45 days after a donation has been made. The following charities are eligible: American Red Cross, Team Rubicon, and Feeding America.

These points should also count towards the Companion Pass. All Rapid Rewards Members also get 25,000 Companion Pass qualifying points and 25 flight credits toward Companion Pass status.

American Airlines

American Airlines is partnering with long-standing national partner American Red Cross to raise funds for the nonprofit’s efforts on the frontlines of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. American is proud to be a $1 million member of the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program.

The Red Cross has activated its fullest resources to support the COVID-19 response. Monetary donations are the best way to assist those in need at this time, which will help provide support for blood drives and critical relief services through trained Red Cross personnel who are on the ground, assisting with the outbreak. From now through April 30, AAdvantage® members can earn 10 miles for every dollar donated to the Red Cross with a minimum $25 donation. Visit the Red Cross website to donate now.
