Use Hilton Points for Amazon Explore, Plus 40% Off on First Experience
Hilton Honors has expanded its collaboration with Amazon to send its U.S. members all over the world, from the comfort and safety of their homes. Amazon Explore, a newly launched service, virtually transports U.S. travelers across the globe through interactive and customizable experiences that are livestreamed from another destination. Amazon Explore experiences can be paid for using Hilton Honors Points or with cash.
Led by local experts in one-on-one sessions, travelers can enjoy hundreds of experiences around the world. Here are some examples of what you can find on Amazon Explore:
- Piazza San Marco and the highlights of Venice: See the most iconic buildings in Venice, in this virtual tour that focuses on the area around the Piazza San Marco. Admire the beautiful St Mark’s Basilica, one of the best-known examples of Italo-Byzantine architecture and see the gold mosaics that took centuries to complete. (Starting at 31,000 Hilton Honors Points or $62*)
- Get up-close with wild animals in Costa Rica at the Toucan Rescue Ranch: Get up-close and personal with macaws, owls, parrots, sloths, spider monkeys, toucans, weasels and more at the Toucan Rescue Ranch. Join your host on a virtual tour of the ranch to learn about its history, mission, and rehabilitation programs for its animals. You’ll also get inside access to animal enclosures, the ranch’s clinic, and other rehabilitation areas. (Starting at 13,650 Hilton Honors Points or $27*)
As you can see from the pricing, using Hilton points for these experiences will not yield great value. You get just o.2 cents per points. That’s the same rate as using Hilton points for Amazon purchases in general (except for those rare cases where you can get 0.5 cents).
But in celebration of the launch, Hilton Honors members can take advantage of a 40% off discount on their first experience. That could make it worthwhile to check out this new offering from Amazon. To get the discount, use code HILTONHONORS through March 31, while supplies last.
