U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Adds 5 Year Language to Bonus Eligibility

The U.S. Bank Altitude® Reserve Visa Infinite® Card is premium travel card which launched in 2017. This is a quite popular credit card that comes with valuable benefits, and an annual fee of $400.

But considering that you earn 3X points on eligible travel purchases and mobile wallet spending, and you receive $325 in annual credits for dining and travel purchases, it can be worth having in your wallet.

Currently the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card offers a welcome bonus of 50,000 bonus points for spending $4,500 in the first 90 days of account opening. But we have seen better bonuses in the past.

One issue with the welcome bonus on this card is that it was basically a “once per lifetime” deal. Prior cardholders were not eligible to receive the welcome bonus. Now that has changed, and it could be good news for those who applied for the card early on.

Here are the new terms that you can find here:

“Existing or previous U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite cardmembers are not eligible if you have received a new account bonus for this product in the last five years.”

Since the card has been out since 2017, about seven years ago, those who received the bonus early one are eligible to apply and earn it again. The terms take into account when you last received an account bonus, and not when you last had this card.
