Turkish Airlines, Fly Business Class to Europe for 31,500 Miles
Turkish Airlines has a new promotion, offering a discount of 30% on award fares. This discount applies to Economy and Business class awards originating in one of the 100 selected cities. That excludes US cities, but the discount is applying anyway for departures out of the US. That means that you can get some great deals for business awards to Europe and maybe elsewhere, assuming you can find award space. Check out details below.
Offer
This 30% Miles discount offer is valid on promotional award tickets for one-way or round trip flights in Business Class or Economy Class from specific destinations to all of Turkish Airlines’ network. You can see the promotion page here.
Based on terms, flights must originate in Turkey or :
- Accra, Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Amman, Aqaba, Asmara, Baghdad, Bahrain, Bamako, Bari, Basel, Basra, Batumi, Beirut, Bilbao, Billund, Bishkek, Bologna, Bordeaux, Bremen, Bucharest, Budapest, Catania, Cluj, Cologne, Conakry, Constanta, Dammam, Djibouti, Doha, Douala, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, Erbil, Frankfurt, Freetown, Ganja, Gothenburg, Hanover, Helsinki, Hurghada, Isfahan, Jakarta, Juba, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Leipzig/Halle, Libreville, Ljubljana, Luanda, Luxembourg, Lyon, Madrid, Malaga, Malta, Marseille, Mashad, Mogadishu, Muscat, Nairobi, Nakhichevan, Naples, Ndjamena, Niamey, Nouakchott, Nuremberg, Ouagadougou, Podgorica, Pointe Noire, Porto, Prague, Pristina, Riga, Riyadh, Rome, Salzburg, Sarajevo, Seychelles, Sharm El Sheikh, Shiraz, Singapore, Sofia, Stockholm, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Suleymaniye, Tabriz, Tallinn, Tbilisi, Tehran, Tel Aviv, Thessaloniki, Tivat, Toulouse, Varna, Vienna, Vilnius, Yaounde, Zagreb, Zurich
However, this is working for flights out of the US as well, even though it’s not supposed to. You must book by December 25 and travel by May 31, 2023.
A business class flight from Seattle to Rome for example is pricing at just 31,500 miles one-way, plus $282.50 in taxes and fees. There’s a short layover in Istanbul, Turkey (now known as Türkiye). The same price shows for several other routes.
Guru’s Wrap-up
This promotion should not be working for award fares originating in the US, but for now it’s working. The promotion runs through December 25th, but this might not last that long.
If you need more miles in your Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles account, you can transfer Citi ThankYou points or Capital One miles. Both programs have a transfer ratio of 1:1, but the transfers are not instant.
