Chase Aeroplan cardholders can now redeem Aeroplan points for a statement credit at a value of 1.25 cents, using Pay Yourself Back (PYB).
Groceries seems to be a new category for next quarter, but only with 25% bonus. The Annual Fee category has been extended through 3/31/23, but again with just a with a 25% bonus instead of 50%.
Your points are worth 25% more when redeemed for eligible internet, cable and phone services, plus other select categories.
Chase Freedom, Freedom Flex, Freedom Unlimited, and Freedom Student cardmembers can take advantage of Pay Yourself Back through Ultimate Rewards, starting July 2nd.
One question that we all had was whether redeeming points for these purchases would cancel out the points earned for the purchase. This is important since Chase has increased earning on groceries, from May 1 through June 30, 2020, for Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cardholders. You earn 5x and 3x respectively.
