Spirit Airlines Card Now Gets Two Free Checked Bags
The Spirit Airlines Free Spirit Travel More Mastercard, co-branded with Bank of America, is getting a brand-new checked bags benefit. Primary cardholders can take advantage of up to two free checked bags on every Spirit trip booked with their eligible card.
To unlock the two free checked bag benefit, primary cardholders must book on spirit.com or the Spirit mobile app. Primary cardholders are eligible to receive up to two free checked bags, up to 50 pounds each, and can use the benefit to check items like golf clubs, skis and snowboards, provided that they meet Spirit’s standard checked bag requirements.
The Primary Cardholder’s Free Spirit account number must be included on the reservation. Benefit may not be applied retroactively and no refunds will be issued.
The Free Spirit Travel More Mastercard has a $79 annual fee and in addition to up to two free checked bags, primary cardholders enjoy other travel benefits including:
- Access to Priority Check-In, where available
- Priority Boarding
- Complimentary space-available upgrades to Premium Economy and Spirit First
- 25 percent rebate on inflight food and drink purchases made with their Free Spirit Travel More Mastercard
