Mr & Mrs Smith Properties Now Bookable with Hyatt Points
Hyatt Hotels announced the acquisition of Mr & Mrs Smith a year ago. Mr & Mrs Smith is a London-based platform offering direct booking access to a carefully curated and growing collection of over 1,500 boutique and luxury properties in some of the world’s most desirable locations.
The participating properties from the Mr & Mrs Smith portfolio adds more than 20 new, sought-after countries to World of Hyatt such as Namibia, Fiji and the British Virgin Islands. From the remote tented hideouts of Zannier Hotels Sonop in Namibia to sustainability focused retreats at Hotel Aguas Claras in Costa Rica, or lofty lodgings at Arctic TreeHouse Hotel in Finland, every Mr & Mrs Smith property available through World of Hyatt offers an amazing getaway opportunity.
Now some of these properties are showing up up on search results in the World of Hyatt platform, which means that you can book them with Hyatt points. Most of them are in Europe for now, but it looks like more are being added throughout the day.
Bad Value
The bad news is that award pricing on these properties seems terrible. The pricing is dynamic and in some cases gets you a value of less than 1 cent per point when compared to cash price. At best it looks like you can maybe get 1.5 cents per point.
It’s not clear at this point if this will be the actual pricing on these properties, or if they’re still tinkering with it.

World of Hyatt Elite Benefits
World of Hyatt Globalists normally receive great benefits at hotels around the world. But it seems that not all of those benefits will extend to Mr & Mrs Smith properties.
- At this time, you may not use your World of Hyatt suite upgrades at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties.
- Globalists may receive an upgraded room upon arrival at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties depending on availability.
- The Globalist benefit of a waived resort when paying an Eligible Rate is not valid at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties.
- There’s no mention of free breakfast for Globalists.
- Hyatt members do not get the free gift on arrival that’s currently available for Mr & Mrs Smith loyalty members.
