Marriott Files Trademark for ‘Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Business’ Credit Card

Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Business Card Could Be Coming Soon

It looks like Marriott could be preparing to add another premium credit card to the Bonvoy lineup.

Marriott International filed a U.S. trademark application for “MARRIOTT BONVOY BRILLIANT BUSINESS” on August 28, 2026. The filing is specifically classified under financial services and lists credit card issuance, payment processing, authorization and transaction processing among its intended uses.

That certainly points toward a Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Business credit card, presumably positioned as a business version to the existing consumer card.

American Express sent out a survey late last year regarding a potential lineup of three business cards with annual fees varying from $150 to $695. A survey doesn’t guarantee that those features or pricing will ever launch, but the new trademark filing makes the possibility of a premium business card more plausible.

Marriott already has the consumer Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card designed for frequent travelers and Marriott loyalists. It costs $650 per year, but offers high-value perks that can help offset the cost.
