Marriott Plans New All-Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica and Zanzibar

Marriott Adding All-Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica and Zanzibar

Marriott International has signed two new agreements with Catalonia Hotels & Resorts to add all-inclusive properties in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Zanzibar, Tanzania.

The Jamaica project will convert the former Catalonia Montego Bay into a Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive Resort. The beachfront property is expected to open in 2028 with 522 rooms, 13 dining venues, three pools, a spa, fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, a lazy river and more than 2,100 feet of beachfront. The resort will also be located near Sangster International Airport.

The second property will be a newly built Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort in Zanzibar. It is expected to open in 2027 with 271 rooms and a wellness-focused experience. Planned amenities include multiple pools, a spa, theater, oceanfront jetty, seawater pool and bar, along with several specialty restaurants.

Both resorts will participate in Marriott Bonvoy, giving members the ability to earn and redeem points once the properties open. Marriott says it now has 38 all-inclusive properties across nine markets in the Caribbean and Latin America, with additional projects under development in that region and across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

These openings are still a few years away, but they will give Marriott Bonvoy members two more all-inclusive options in popular leisure destinations. The Montego Bay resort should be especially convenient for U.S. travelers, while the Zanzibar property will add a more distinctive option to Marriottโ€™s growing all-inclusive portfolio.
