Leading Hotels Of The World Drops $175 Fee for Leaders Club Program

The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) is a collection of more than 400 independent hotels in over 80 countries. These are usually more luxurious properties that are often on the expensive side. Each property must meet the brand’s quality and distinctiveness standards, which are determined during inspections of the hotel’s accommodations.

All the independently owned hotels within the collection participate in the Leaders Club rewards program. With this program you can earn free nights, complimentary room upgrades and other benefits. These benefits are similar to programs like the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program and Chase’s Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection. Until now, Leaders Club has been a paid program with an annual fee of $175. But there’s no longer a fee and Leaders Club rewards program is free for all.

The program provides some great benefits that are quite generous for no additional fee.

Pre-Arrival Upgrades: After you complete your first stay as a Leaders Club member, you will receive one pre-arrival upgrade per calendar year that you can choose to use on any qualifying stay. Members Only Savings: Explore the privileges reserved exclusively for Leaders Club members including seasonal sales and the lowest available rates, along with special opportunities to preview our newest hotels and access members only extras.

There’s also the Leaders Club Sterling, which is the next level of membership. It includes five pre-arrival upgrade requests and a one-time 5% annual points bonus. When you spend USD 5,000 on qualifying Leaders Club stays in a calendar year, you will automatically receive this higher status.
