Increased Amex Bonuses on Four Delta Cards Still Available Through Referrals

American Express had increased signup bonus offers on all four Delta credit cards. Those offers expired on April 11th, but you’re still able to get those bonuses through referrals. Referral offers are available until May 16, 2018.

Increased Amex Bonuses

• Delta Platinum – Earn 70,000 Bonus Miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $3,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months.† In addition, earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.
• Delta Platinum Business – Earn 70,000 Bonus Miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs)after you spend $3,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months.^† In addition, earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.
• Delta Gold – Earn 50,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases with your new Card within the first 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.^† Plus, earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles after you make an additional $1,000 in purchases within your first 6 months.
• Delta Gold Business – Earn 50,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months^†. Plus, earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles after you make an additional $1,000 in purchases within your first 6 months.

Amex Application Rules

American Express restricts you to just one sign up bonus per credit card product. That’s once per lifetime. Even if you previously had the card and didn’t receive a bonus (maybe during your pre-churning days), you won’t be eligible for a bonus on the same card. Business and personal cards count as separate products. If you’re not sure which cards you’ve had in the past, there’s a way to check.

American Express also has some other restrictions on applications. You can only apply for two Amex cards every 90 days and you’re limited to a total of 5 Amex cards at a time. Charge cards do not count towards these limits.
