Hilton Diamond Tier Still Gets Suite Upgrades
The Hilton Honors loyalty program has an updated the benefits page. Initially there was a change for Diamond members that caused some panic. Maybe the page was not yet fully updated, but it hinted at suite upgrades going away for Diamond Tier members.
If you have Diamond elite status you get space-available upgrades at eligible Hilton properties around the world, including suites. These can some times double the price of a standard room, so it is a huge benefit. It is not always honored and varies by property, but when you do get it, it’s great. The easiest way to earn Diamond is through the Amex Hilton Aspire credit card.
In the updated page, Loyalty Lobby noticed a change in the benefits and from images posted on that site, the suite upgrade was no longer included. But now the benefit is showing, so it should still be business as usual. You can see it here. Scroll down and click on the Diamond tab to see the benefits.
