Enter to Win Free Round-Trip to Work from Hawaii

Tired of working from home? How a change of scenery, maybe with a view of one of the many amazing beaches in Hawaii? Now there’s a chance to do just that and get a free round-trip flight to Hawaii to work from there instead, for a whole month.

The program, Movers & Shakas, is open to 50 lucky applicants who are already employed and want to find the perfect balance between work and vacation. To enter you need to be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, and must currently live in the country. Winning applicants must agree to move within one month of being selected.

If this is something you want to do, you can apply online right now. You must submit your application by December 15th. Winning applicants are required to stay for a month, but will be responsible for arranging their own accommodations. Only the round-trip fare is free. They will also be required to volunteer for a few hours each week with a nonprofit organization that fits their skillset.

Hawaii is encouraging travelers to volunteer during their visits in exchange for a free night in a hotel. The initiative, called Mālama Hawai‘i, allows tourists to volunteer, getting involved in everything from tree planting, ocean reef preservation, making quilts for elders, or even taking part in a beach cleanup on their own time.

Hawaii has allowed visitors to skip the islands’ mandatory quarantine if they show a negative COVID-19 test taken at a certified laboratory within 72 hours of their trip. But, the island of Kauai will opt out of the testing program and require a mandatory two week quarantine for visitors.
