You can now activate the bonus categories offers for the Discover it credit card for the first quarter of 2020. With the Discover Q1 bonus categories you can earn 5% at Grocery Stores, Walgreens and CVS from January 1 to March 31, 2020. That’s up to $1,500 in purchases for those three months.
You can now see and activate the offer here. It shouldn’t be a problem maximizing the spending for the first quarter for most people in these categories. CVS and many grocery stores sell many types of gift cards, so earning 5% on those purchases is a big boost.
As a reminder, right now you earn 5% at Amazon, Target and Walmart.com till December 31, 2019.

- Walgreens and CVS purchases include only purchases made in-store at Walgreens or CVS, online at Walgreens.com or CVS.com, or through the Walgreens or CVS app.
- Individual merchants and stand-alone stores within physical Walgreens or CVS locations (including health centers), or on Walgreens.com or CVS.com, may not be eligible in this category.
