Keep in mind that with the recent added restrictions on Citi cards, bonus ThankYou Points are not available if you have had a ThankYou Preferred, ThankYou Premier or Citi Prestige card opened or closed in the past 24 months.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
If you want the card, then this Citi Premier 60K bonus is as good as it gets. It’s definitely worth getting for those who are eligible. The bonus is easily worth about $800, which is huge for a credit card signup bonus. You do have to pay the annual fee in the first year.
If you have applied recently for the 50,000 bonus, you can try asking to be matched to this new offer. There’s still a 50K offer actually that also has the $95 fee waived. You could go with that bonus and then ask to be matched to the 60K offer, but it’s risky. Citi is no longer matching AA bonuses as they used to. So the same could happen to these TYP bonuses as well.
