Chipotle Launches Rewards Program Nationwide and Giving away $250K to Customers on Venmo

Chipotle rolled out its long-awaited loyalty program, Chipotle Rewards, on Tuesday and announced that it would be teaming up with Venmo to give out up to quarter of a million dollars on the app to 25,000 customers per day through March 15. The company began testing Chipotle Rewards, a points-based loyalty program, across several markets last fall in a move to make the brand more accessible and digitally innovative.

The new program is pretty straight forward. For every $1 spent at the chain you get 10 points and 1,250 will score you a free meal. They will also offer extra point days where members will be able to score more points per dollar. There’s also free chips and guac after your first purchase as a member.

Now let’s get to the cash prizes. Customers can submit the phone number that’s linked to their Venmo account for the chance to win between $1 and $500 via the payment app, which allows users to transfer money to one another via credit card charges or bank account transfers.
