Two Centurion Lounges Opening Up in Australia
American Express is bringing its popular Centurion Lounges to Australia. The two new locations will not be brand new lounges, but will instead be an upgrade to current lounges that are already in the American Express network.
American Express airport lounges in Sydney and Melbourne, which are temporarily closed, will return as Centurion Lounges once they reopen. The information comes from an American Express spokesperson who confirmed the rebranding to Executive Traveller. The current American Express lounges will be “enhanced” to bring them up to the Centurion Lounge level. There’s no timetable as to when these lounges might reopen.
The lounge names have already been updated on the Amex website as well. They are listed as Centurion Lounges in Sydney and Melbourne. The only other Centurion Lounge outside of United States is in Hong Kong.
