Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport to Be Expanded and Refreshed

American Express has been reopening its popular Centurion Lounge locations around the country. Lounges were closed for several months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With the reopening, American Express has introduced new health-and-safety practices in place, as part of the “Centurion Lounge Commitment” to keep travelers safe. To date, Centurion Lounges in Los Angeles, Dallas, JFK, Houston, Charlotte, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle and Miami are now reopened.

But there are also plans to improve some of the lounges. American Express recently signed an agreement to expand and refresh the Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport. Located in Terminal 3, the Centurion Lounge at SFO is currently one of the smaller locations in the network. Those who have stopped by have also often found it overcrowded.

But American Express has confirmed to DDG that the planned expansion with nearly double the size of The Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport, increasing its footprint to almost 16,000 square feet. That will make it one of the largest Centurion lounge locations. Additionally, American Express will introduce a new menu from Executive Chef Ravi Kapur.

No dates have been set yet for when everything will get going or be completed.
