Another Centurion Lounge Coming to Phoenix?

Centurion Lounge Coming to Phoenix

Just a couple of days ago, American Express announced that it would open a new Centurion Lounge in London in 2019. It also confirmed the rumors about a Centurion Lounge in Charlotte, which is slated to open in 2020.

Now it looks like Centurion Lounge number 15 is coming to Phoenix. View from the Wing reports that the City Council approved a contract with MAG USA Lounge Management, a subsidiary of the UK’s Manchester Airport Group, which operates Escape Lounges across several US airports. “However it won’t just be an Escape lounge that the Phoenix airport is getting. The 9532 square feet are proposed to be split into two lounges. One would be a Centurion lounge, and the other an Escape lounge. It’s anticipated these lounges would open in December 2019 or January 2020.”

The Centurion Lounge Network

Here is a list of the lounges that are currently available and the ones that will open soon: The Centurion Lounge is the signature lounge program within the broader American Express Global Lounge Collection, which provides The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, The Platinum Card® from American Express, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card, and Amex Centurion Members, with access to more than 1,400+ lounges around the world, in 500 plus cities across 140 countries and counting. Card Members can search and find lounge locations within the Global Lounge Collection through the Find A Lounge page. They can also check into select Centurion Lounges through the mobile check-in tool within the American Express App.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

Lounges are a favorite perk of frequent travelers looking to escape the busy terminals at airports. These are great places to relax, eat or grab a drink, when they’re not overcrowded. New Centurion Lounges add more value to the personal and business Platinum cards which have had their fees increased recently.
