Capital One Restricts Lounge Access for Venture X Cardholders
Capital One sent out emails today announcing upcoming changes to lounge access, and it is not good at all. The negative changes apply to both Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders. Additional users will no longer get free access, and you will also have to pay for guests. Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences will also be gone soon for some business cardholders. Check out the details below.
Additional Users Must Pay for Lounge Access
Beginning Feb. 1, 2026, primary cardholders on Venture X and Venture X Business accounts who want to add lounge access for their additional cardholders will have the ability to pay an annual lounge access fee of $125 per cardholder to grant them access to Capital One Lounges, Capital One Landings and Priority Pass lounges.
If you wish to add lounge access, you can do so for up to four additional cardholders for each Venture X or Venture X Business account. You will have the option to do so beginning on Feb. 1, 2026.
You can still add free additional users, but they won’t have lounge access.
Priority Pass Lounges
Beginning February 1, 2026, guests of Venture X cardholders will no longer receive complimentary access to Priority Pass lounges. At that time, Venture X primary cardholders and eligible additional cardholders can bring guests to Priority Pass lounges at a rate of $35 each per visit. Eligible cardholders still need to enroll in Priority Pass and are subject to the Priority PassTM Terms.
Venture X Business primary cardholders will continue to receive complimentary access for two guests at Priority Pass lounges and their eligible additional cardholders will also receive complimentary access for two guests at Priority Pass lounges.
Beginning Sept. 9, 2025, access to Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences (such as select airport restaurants) will no longer be included in the benefits of the Venture X Business Mastercard version.
Capital One Lounges and Landings
Beginning Feb. 1, 2026, guests of Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders will no longer automatically receive complimentary access to Capital One Lounges and Landings.
Primary cardholders and eligible additional cardholders that spend at least $75,000 total across all cardholders on their Venture X or Venture X Business account per calendar year can bring up to two complimentary guests to Capital One Lounges and one complimentary guest to Capital One Landings per visit.
Cardholder spend toward the $75,000 threshold begins in the 2025 calendar year. Complimentary guest access is valid for the calendar year in which the $75,000 spend occurs and the following calendar year.
Venture X and Venture X Business primary cardholders and eligible additional cardholders will continue to receive discounted pricing of $45 per guest per visit. Effective June 3, 2025, all Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture, and Spark Miles cardholders can purchase passes to Lounges and Landings at discounted rates of $25 for guests 17 and under. Children under 2 remain free.
