Capital One Miles Improvements
Capital One rewards keep getting better. Starting tomorrow, on February 4th, there are two exciting changes to the miles transfer program. Capital One is adding the first hotel partners to its miles transfer rewards program, Accor Live Limitless and Wyndham Rewards. Capital One is the first and only US credit card transfer partner for both Accor and Wyndham. In addition, Capital One is improving the transfer ratio to JetBlue TrueBlue.
New Hotel Partners
Venture and Spark cardholders can redeem miles for Accor Live Limitless points at a transfer rate of 2:1(1,000 Venture or Spark Miles: 500 ALL Rewards points). ALL is the global loyalty program of 34 hotel brands like SLS, Fairmont, Sofitel, Delano, Mondrian, Raffles and many more.
Customers will be able to redeem miles for Wyndham Rewards at a transfer rate of 2:1.5 (1,000 Venture or Spark Miles:750 Wyndham Rewards points). Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the world’s largest hotel franchising company operating a portfolio of 20 hotel brands, including Wyndham Grand, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, La Quinta, Tryp by Wyndham and many more.
Cards that Earn Capital One Miles
- Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card: Earn 50,000 bonus miles once you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.
- Capital One® VentureOne® Rewards Credit Card: Earn 20,000 bonus miles once you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.
- Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business: Earn a one-time bonus of 50,000 miles once you spend $4,500 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.
- Capital One® Spark® Miles Select for Business: Earn a one-time bonus of 20,000 miles once you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.
JetBlue TrueBlue
In addition, Capital One is making the transfer ratio to JetBlue TrueBlue more valuable. Starting today, the new transfer ratio will be 2:1.5 (1,000 Venture or Spark Miles:750 JetBlue TrueBlue points).

Customers will need to transfer a minimum of 1,000 Venture or Spark Miles at a time to travel loyalty programs and will need to transfer in 100 mile increments.
In addition to miles transfer, Venture and Spark Miles customers can redeem their miles with no blackout dates by “erasing” any recent travel purchase (ex: flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, etc.). That redemption option give you a value of 1 cent per mile, so make sure you are getting at least that when transferring to travel partners.
Guru’s Wrap-up
Positive development for the Capital One Rewards program. The new JetBlue transfer rate matches the promotion they ran recently, just not the new rate is permanent. And then you have the first two hotel partners for Capital One Rewards. Probably not the first two option you think of when looking for award stays, but still more options is always better. As I mentioned above, you can redeem Capital One Miles for travel purchases on your card at a value of 1 cent per point. So make sure these new travel partners, or even existing ones, give you a better value than that.
