Buy $40 Amazon Gift Card, Earn $8 Credit
This article contains Amazon affiliate links.
Amazon has a new promotion for purchasing gift cards. This one is better than similar offers we have seen in the past. You can earn an $8 promotional credit with a $40 gift card purchase.
To see this promotion, visit this page, and you should see the offer on top stating: Exclusive offer: Get a $8 promotional credit with a $40 Gift Card purchase.
Your promotional balance doesn’t appear in your account, but will always display at Checkout when you place an order through the shopping cart for an eligible item shipped and sold by Amazon.
If you have the Amazon Prime Visa card, you can earn 5% cash back on these purchases. Also check out these Shop with Points discounts for even more savings.
Let me know in the comments if the promotion shows up for you.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. You should always check shopping portals such as Rakuten, TopCashback, RebatesMe and more for possible cashback.

I used this offer on two accounts. One one account it worked fine. On the second it did not. I asked customer service why it doesn’t work and they told me they are not sure but will give me the promotional credit. Rep said it takes one hour to show up. I waited an hour and still nothing. Contacted customer service again, the first agent said he can’t help, connected me to a second rep. He said that he sees that my promotional credit was issued. But I checked by trying to purchase a fire stick, and didn’t work. Glad I did this why I was still in the chat. Rep then said he would issue it as a gift card balance.
Did not work for me 🙁 I bought an Amazon gift card. Did it have to be a 3rd party gift card??
It doesn’t specify, so Amazon gift card should work since it shows above the Amazon gift card. It worked for me. But see comment below that it didn’t work and they chatted with customer service to get the credit.
Remember the credit simply is attached to your Amazon account and once you make a purchase of a product that is “shipped and sold” from Amazon, you will see the 8.00 credit as a deduction in the total price at checkout. This is the common way these promotions are applied.
I see it too thanks. But I purchased a $40 gc and didn’t receive the credit. Chatted with customer service rep and they issued it manually.
Amazon customer service is pretty good with things like this.
Saw it and got it! Thanks!
Yes, I was able to see/get it. Thank you.
