Update: Bilt has officially announced Spirit as its newest transfer partner. “We just added our 24th transfer partner, and this one’s notable for a few reasons. Starting now, you can transfer Bilt Points 1:1 to Spirit Airlines Free Spirit. This is Spirit’s first-ever external transfer partnership, and Spirit becomes our first value-focused carrier in the Bilt transfer network.”
Richard Kerr – GM, Bilt Travel – said on reddit:
Combined, value-based airlines consistently ranks as our fourth most-booked airline on the Bilt Travel Portal. When we saw how many of you were already choosing to fly Spirit, adding them as a transfer partner became an obvious move. Different use case than, say, transferring Bilt Points for a premium international redemptionโbut that’s exactly the point. More options, more flexibility.
Objectively, the Spirit Big Front Seat is a great product and redeeming Free Spirit Points for that fare class yields great value in my searches. I find it routinely has the fastest wifi in the sky (included with Big Front Seat bookings) because few other people on the plane are paying for wifi access. Last year I flew ATL-LAS round trip twice in the Spirit Big Front Seat for less than half of what legacy airlines wanted and the experiences in the Big Front Seat were my best domestic flying of the year.
Those who wish to transfer Bilt Points to Spirit, can go to Rewards > Transfers in the Bilt app or website, select Spirit, link your Free Spirit account, and transfer in 1,000 point increments. Transfers should be nearly instant.

This is a strange one, but Bilt briefly shared a video on YouTube announcing the addition of Spirit as its latest transfer partner. The video, titled “Bilt welcomes Spirit Airlines as our newest transfer partner”, was posted late last night and it was taken down this morning.
Spirit is currently going through bankruptcy and they just secured $100 million in emergency financing to support its operations and restructuring efforts during the process.
