Bank of America Launches Redesigned Travel Center With More Booking Options

Bank of America Launches New Travel Center Powered by Agoda

Bank of America has launched an enhanced Travel Center with a wider selection of hotels, flights, rental cars and activities, along with improved search tools and more flexible payment options.

The redesigned platform is powered by Rocket Travel by Agoda, part of Booking Holdings. It gives eligible Bank of America cardholders access to more than 500,000 properties, flights from over 170 airline partners, ground transportation from more than 170 rental-car companies, and over 400,000 activities.

Users can now search and filter options by factors such as price, timing and amenities. The new platform also provides more detailed hotel listings with photos, amenities and reviews, and lets travelers mix and match different airlines for their outbound and return flights.

Another useful update is the ability to combine Bank of America credit card rewards with a credit or debit card payment. That makes it possible to redeem points toward part of a booking without needing enough rewards to cover the entire cost.

Access and redemption options vary by card. Premium Rewards and Premium Rewards Elite cardholders can use rewards or card payments through Online Banking and the mobile app. Travel Rewards cardholders can access the portal through Online Banking, while Customized Cash Rewards and Unlimited Cash Rewards cardholders can find it through Erica or Online Banking. BankAmericard Rewards cardholders can also use rewards or card payments through the portal.

The redesign brings Bank of America’s portal closer to the travel-booking experiences offered by Chase and American Express. As with other third-party travel portals, it is still a good idea to compare prices with booking directly.
