Bank of America Gives 3-Month Extension for Bonus Spending

Bank of America is the latest credit card issuer to help out new cardholders complete spending for welcome bonuses during the pandemic. Chase is already giving an extra three months to every cardholder who applied between January 1 and March 31. American Express is doing the same thing for those approved between December 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020.

Now Doctor of Credit reports that Bank of America is  extending the signup bonus spending time-frame by 90 days due to COVID-19. This was sent out automatically from Bank of America, so if you were recently approved for a new Bank of America card, you should get one too. This looks like it applies to personal and business credit card, for those who were approved between January 1 and March 31, 2020. This is the text of one email:

Your new credit card rewards bonus offer has been extended.

With everything going on right now, we’re giving you an extra 90 days to meet the terms of the Bank of America® Business Advantage Cash Rewards bonus offer you received when you opened your credit card account. We don’t want you to worry about missing the offer.

You can find your bonus offer in the materials you received when you opened your account between January 1 and March 31, 2020.

Even if you didn’t receive an email, it could be worth contacting to Bank of America to check if you qualify.
