Amex Survey Hints at Possible Hilton Business Card Refresh
American Express is surveying some cardholders about possible changes to the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, offering several potential versions of a refreshed product. As always, these surveys don’t guarantee any of these benefits will become reality, but they often show what Amex is considering for future card updates.
The survey presented multiple card concepts with annual fees ranging from $195 to $395, each featuring different combinations of earning rates, statement credits, travel perks, and annual benefits.
Among the most interesting ideas being tested are:
- Annual Hilton statement credits ranging from $240 to $320.
- New $150 business statement credits for categories such as AI services (including ChatGPT Business and Claude), advertising, shipping, accounting software, tax preparation, or cloud software.
- Complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status, with the ability to earn Diamond status after $40,000 in annual spending.
- Free Night Rewards after spending $15K or $60K, with some versions offering two FNCs at $15K and $60K.
- Hilton property earning rates between 10X and 13X points.
- New bonus categories including gas stations, office supplies, and elevated earnings on spending up to $100,000 or $150,000 annually.
- Annual room upgrade certificates valid for one stay of up to two nights.
- Complimentary access to premium lounges at participating Hilton properties.
- New Hilton for Business incentives, including statement credits, 200K bonus Hilton Honors points, or a rebate equal to 50% of the annual fee after completing seven qualifying stays each year.
It’s worth emphasizing that these are survey concepts only. American Express frequently tests different combinations of benefits, annual fees, and earning structures before deciding whetherโor howโto refresh a card. Some features may never launch, while others could appear in a different form.
