Amex Membership Rewards Hilton Transfer Bonus
American Express has a new transfer bonus promotion going on where you can get 30% more Hilton Honors points when you transfer Membership Rewards points. The bonus is also targeted, so not everyone will see it in their accounts.
The regular transfer rate is 1000 Membership Rewards points to 2000 Hilton Honors points. So with this promotion you can transfer 1000 Membership Rewards points and get 2600 Hilton Honors points. This offer is available until December 31, 2023.
How to Transfer Membership Rewards to Hilton
To transfer your membership Rewards points, simply go to the Membership Rewards transfer page, and login to your Membership Rewards account. Here you will see all of the transfer partners listed. For Hilton Honors, you will see a notification about the 30% transfer bonus, if you are targeted.
Offer Terms
- Minimum transfer is 1,000 Membership Rewards points.
- The additional Hilton Honors Bonus Points will be awarded at the time of transfer.
- Hilton Honors Bonus Points do not count towards elite tier qualification.
- Offer expires December 31, 2023.

Even with this 30% bonus, transferring Membership Rewards points to the Hilton Honors program will not make sense for most people. Hilton points are often valued at about 0.4 cents each, so this will give you a value of just over one cent for your Membership Rewards. That’s not the best use of your Amex Membership Rewards points.
You could use this promotion if you need some more Hilton points towards a redemption, or to keep your Hilton points from expiring. Usually the best way to rack up lots of Hilton points is to go for one of the American Express Hilton Credit cards.
