Amazon Gift Cards No Longer Earn 4X Fuel Points at Kroger

Amazon Gift Cards No Longer Earn 4X Fuel Points at Kroger

Kroger has frequent promotion on gift cards, offering 4X fuel points gift card purchases. During these promotions you’ll earn 4 fuel points for every $1 spent, and or every 100 points earned, you’ll receive 10 cents off per gallon of fuel.

But in their most recent promotion, there’s a change in the terms which exclude Amazon gift cards. Here’s the relevant text:

“Effective March 20, 2024, Amazon Gift Cards will only receive 2X Fuel Points.”

So you will still earn the regular 2X points like all other cards, but not the increased 4X points during promotions, and coupon offers.

  1. BUT, What is the REASON for excluding Amazon Gift Cards from any 4X fp event? No one seems to be able to give a reason for the change.

My guess is that that margins are lower than other gift cards, so they don’t make a profit or might be losing money when offering these fuel points deals.

        Where do you see that?
