Amazon Unveils Early Black Friday Deals

Black Friday is starting really early on Amazon this year. Like right now! Today the retail giant released “Black Friday-worthy deals“, giving customers the opportunity to start shopping now and saving big heading into the holiday season. Amazon said it’s offering “deep discounts across every category,” including fashion, electronics, home goods and toys. New deals will be added daily.

For inspiration, Amazon also unveiled its biggest-ever selection of gift guides, including its popular Holiday Toy List, Home, Fashion, Beauty, and Electronics Gift Guides, as well as guides like Stocking Stuffer Picks and Customers’ Most-Loved products.

Retailers have tried to encourage consumers to start their holiday shopping earlier than usual. Target is launching “deal days” online and in stores Oct. 10-12. 

Amazon also launched a new feature Monday in its shopping app. It allows Prime members to send gifts to friends and family without an address. Prime members will now see a new option to “Let the recipient provide their address.” They can then enter just the recipient’s email or mobile number.

The recipient receives a gift message—by email or text—that allows them to accept the gift, and then enter their preferred delivery address from their Amazon account. And while it’s the thought behind a gift that counts, recipients also have the option of exchanging the item for an Amazon gift card.
