Alaska Makes Changes to Mileage Earning on Hainan

Alaska Airlines and Hainan Airlines have had a partnership for three years now. It has added a great option for Mileage Plan members, who can earn lots of miles by booking paid Business class fares on Hainan or just redeem miles for travel to Asia. Now Alaska Airlines has made adjustments to earning rates, which will kick in on flights taking place from October 1st, 2018  and on.

There’s adjustments in every class. “R” class which is really their Business class has been changed from earning 200% EQMs to 100% EQMs and 200% redeemable miles. Earning rates in Economy class have been slashed as well. There is one improvement, for the most expensive Business class fares, which go from 150% to 250% EQMs and from 250% to 350% redeemable miles.
