SoFi Credit Card Now Lets You Request a Credit Limit Increase

SoFi has added a feature that many cardholders may find useful, the ability to request a credit limit increase (CLI). This can be done directly through the SoFi app or website.

According to SoFi, requests won’t impact your credit score, and you’ll typically receive a decision within two business days. To be eligible, your account can’t have had a credit limit change in the past six months. If denied, you can submit another request after 30 days.

Who Can Request Credit Limit Increase

You can request a credit limit increase on your SoFi Credit Card through the SoFi app or website, provided your account meets the following criteria:

  • Account Age: Your account has been open for at least 6 months.
  • Request Frequency: You havenโ€™t made a request in the last 30 days.
  • Recent Credit Limit Changes: You havenโ€™t had any credit limit changes in the last 6 months.

How it Works

To submit your request, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your SoFi account.
  2. Go to your Credit Card Dashboard.
  3. Click the More option using the Web or  Gear Icon in the App.
  4. Select Credit Limit Increase.
  5. Click Get Started to begin the process.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to review and submit your request.
