Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards
Alaska said it would launch a new combined program after acquiring Hawaiian Airlines. We already know that the details of the new program will be unveiled on August 20th. It will then launch on October 1st.
Now we also know the name of the new loyalty program that will replace Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles. It’s Atmos Rewards. There’s also a website in place, but it is not functional yet.
Alaska Airlines itself has not officially revealed the name yet. But Choice Hotels references it in its fine print for its transfer partners.
Biz Journals also notes that a test version of the Hawaiian Airlines website briefly stated that “We are currently in the process of transitioning the HawaiianMiles Program to Atmosโข Rewards, our combined loyalty program with Alaska Airlines.”
Alaska Airlines has also filed for a trademark for Atmos Rewards, described as “air transportation services featuring a frequent flyer bonus program.”
Guru’s Wrap-up
Seems strange that they are going with a completely new name that doesn’t have any specific meaning related to Alaska Airlines. But could that mean that major changes are coming?
