Book JetBlue Flights to London

You can now book JetBlue flights to London. The airline enters the transatlantic market with nonstop service between New Yorkโ€™s John F. Kennedy international Airport (JFK) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) starting August 11, 2021. It will then add nonstop service between New York-JFK and London Gatwick Airport (LGW) starting September 29, 2021. London service from Boston will start in Summer 2022.

โ€œThe pandemic has opened doors to Londonโ€™s two busiest airports, and we look forward to bringing customers low fares and great service at both Heathrow and Gatwick,โ€ said Robin Hayes, chief executive officer, JetBlue. โ€œJFK-LHR, the single largest international air travel market from the US, has long suffered from outrageously high fares for far too long, especially in premium cabins. Weโ€™re ready to change that with a price point and experience that will impress even the most discerning transatlantic flyers. Weโ€™ve always said that JetBlue would serve multiple London airports, and weโ€™re pleased to have secured a path at Heathrow and for long-term growth at Gatwick, which offers speed, low costs, and convenient accessibility into Central London.โ€

JetBlue was looking to launch flights earlier, but it was delayed partly by the process of proving to regulators that it could operate long over-water flights safely. The late launch means JetBlue will miss most of the peak summer travel that is expected to see record numbers this year as more people get vaccinated and restrictions are loosened. However, travel between the United States and the United Kingdom is still restricted because of the coronavirus pandemic, and itโ€™s not clear when restrictions will be eased.

Pricing

A roundtrip JetBlue flight from Kennedy Airport to London Heathrow will cost as low as around $1,950 in the airlineโ€™s Mint cabin and as low as $550 for nonrefundable basic economy fares. Those prices are several hundred dollars cheaper that what you can find on Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

U.K.-based travelers can enjoy special introductory roundtrip fares starting at ยฃ329for core and ยฃ999 for Mint.

If you’re looking to book with JetBlue TrueBlue points, the cost of award flights is based on the cash price. Additionally it gets very expensive if you’re booking one way fares.

You can start booking now, but keep in mind that travel restrictions are still in place.
