American Express is Reopening Centurion Lounges

Update 11/23/2020: American Express will reopen its Centurion Lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) today. The lounge will have modified hours of operation: 9am-5pm. Additionally, the Escape Lounge PHX at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport reopened last week, on November 20, 2020. Escape Lounges are part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection® giving Platinum Card® Members complimentary access, along with 2 guests, to all US locations. In addition, Members receive up to a $100 statement credit per calendar year for lounge access booked through LoungeBuddy. You can find more details here.
Update 11/02/2020: American Express is reopening its Centurion Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport today.
Today, October 26, American Express will reopen its Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport (MIA). The reopening of this location will reiterate American Express’ commitment to backing Card Members whenever they may be ready to travel, while ensuring a safe environment for all. Card Members visiting The Centurion Lounge at MIA will see new health-and-safety practices in place, as part of the “Centurion Lounge Commitment.”
These new practices will be implemented across the lounge network and include:
- Socially distanced seating, reduced capacity, increased cleaning frequency, requirements to wear a face covering when entering the lounge, served food instead of buffets, and more.
- Additionally, the lounge will have modified hours of operation: 7am-7pm.
To date, Centurion Lounges in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, JFK, Houston, Charlotte, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle and Miami are now reopened.
