Hilton & Amex Launch New Welcome Offers
Hilton and American Express have launched new welcome offers on their co-branded credit cards, giving travelers another opportunity to earn a large stash of Hilton Honors points. The new offers include bonuses of up to 175,000 Hilton Honors points, plus a statement credit on the no annual fee Hilton card and waived annual fee for the Surpass and Business cards.
But none of these offers come with Free Nights, which are much more valuable nowadays. Luxury Hilton hotels now regularly cost close or over to 200,000 points per night.
Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card
- Eligible Card Members can earn 175K Bonus Points after spending $6,000 on eligible purchases on the Card within the first six months of Card Membership.

The Hilton Honors American Express Card earn 7X Hilton Honors points on Hilton purchases, 5X points at U.S. restaurants, supermarkets, and gas stations, and 3X points on all other eligible purchases. Additionally, the card provides automatic Hilton Honors Silver status, which is not very valuable but it does get you some basic benefits.

The Hilton Honors Business Card offers a range of benefits for Hilton enthusiasts. Cardholders earn 12X Hilton Honors points on Hilton purchases and 5X points on all other eligible purchases (on the first $100K annually). The card includes complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status, and up to $240 in annual credits for Hilton stays ($60/quarter). One reason to pick this card is the fact that it is a business card, and it doesn’t count towards your Chase 5/24 status.
Guru’s Wrap-up
These new Hilton offers are decent, but they’re not particularly exciting compared to some of the better elevated offers we’ve seen in the past. The bonuses are solid on paper, especially on the Aspire card, but the lack of Free Night Rewards makes them less compelling as Hilton points continue to devalue.
With Hilton’s dynamic pricing getting more aggressive, many aspirational properties now cost an absurd number of points per night. That means even six-figure welcome bonuses don’t stretch nearly as far as they used to. Free Night Certificates have become much more valuable in comparison, since they can still be redeemed at expensive properties regardless of the nightly points cost.
Still, if you stay with Hilton regularly or need to top off your Honors balance, these offers could make sense.
