CLEAR Raises Membership Price to $219
CLEAR is raising the price of its CLEAR+ membership once again. As of today, July 1, 2026, the annual membership fee is increasing from $209 to $219.
The good news is that American Express is once again increasing the CLEAR statement credit on its eligible cards, meaning most cardholders who receive the benefit won’t have to pay anything extra out of pocket.
CLEAR+ Membership Now Costs $219
Beginning July 1, the standard price for an individual CLEAR+ membership will be:
- $219 per year (up from $209)
Here’s how the pricing has changed over the years:
- 2012: $179
- 2022: $189
- 2024: $199
- 2025: $209
- 2026: $219
Amex CLEAR Credit Also Increases
Fortunately, American Express is matching the latest price increase by raising the maximum annual CLEAR statement credit to $219 on eligible cards.
Cards that offer the credit include:
- The Platinum Card® from American Express
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
- American Express® Green Card
- Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card
As long as you pay for your CLEAR+ membership with an eligible enrolled card, the annual fee should continue to be fully reimbursed.
Other Ways to Save on CLEAR
If you don’t have an eligible American Express card, you may still be able to save through airline partnerships.
Delta SkyMiles and United MileagePlus members, elite members, and select co-branded credit cardholders often receive discounted or even complimentary CLEAR+ memberships. Those pricing tiers are also changing:
- $209 for United and Delta members.
- $179 for United and Delta cardholders and Silver, Gold, and Platinum elite members.
- $129 for United 1K and Delta Diamond elite members.
- $125 for family members booked through a CLEAR member’s account.
- Free for Delta Diamond Medallion and 360º members.
- Free for United Global Services members.
Guru’s Wrap-up
If you have an eligible American Express card, your CLEAR credit is increasing to $219, meaning you’ll still be able to enjoy the service without paying anything out of pocket. If you don’t have one of those cards, it’s worth checking your Delta or United benefits before paying the full membership price.
