Chase Sapphire Preferred Annual Fee Increase?
We recently saw a big annual fee increase on the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. However, the Chase Sapphire Preferred is surprisingly still at a $95 fee. This is a solid card, with good earning rates that even had a great signup bonus recently for 100K points plus 30K membership Rewards.
But that annul fee could change soon, if Chase phone reps ate to be believed. A redditor reports that he was told on a recent call that the annual fee on the Chase Sapphire Preferred card will jump to $150, a $55 increase.
The change is supposed to take effect starting Jan 1, 2026. He was also told that there will be no changes to rewards or multipliers. Again this is just a rumor for now from one single source.

While this is very much just a rumor right now, a fee increase on the Chase Sapphire Preferred seems inevitable. Even at $150 this card would be worth grabbing with a decent signup bonus.
