Capital One Adds Virgin Red as Transfer Partner
Update (May 30, 2022) – Starting today, Capital One miles cardholders will be able to transfer to Virgin Red at a 1:1 miles transfer ratio. Capital One is the first US credit card issuer to partner with Virgin Red, the brand new loyalty program for the Virgin family of brands. This move now brings the number to 16 travel loyalty partners that transfer at a 1:1 ratio.
Capital One has announced the next enhancements to its miles transfer program. In the coming weeks Capital One will add Virgin Red as a new 1:1 miles transfer partner. Capital One is the first US credit card issuer to partner with Virgin Red, the new loyalty program for the Virgin family of brands. This move will take Capital One to a total of 16 travel loyalty partners that transfer at a 1:1 ratio. Most of Capital One’s other airline and hotel partners also transfer at a 1:1 rate, with a few exceptions.
Virgin Red points can be redeemed for a number of different travel experiences, such as cruises with Virgin Voyages, flights with Virgin Atlantic and much more. You can find a complete listing of Virgin Red redemptions on its website.
While Capital One is the first program to partner directly with Virgin Red in the United States, there are other programs that partner with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. That is the airline’s frequent flyer program that shares points with Virgin Red. Those programs include Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards and Citi ThankYou Rewards.
New Transfer Bonus
Additionally, Capital One has launched a 20% bonus promotions with AeroMexico (Club Premier), Avianca (LifeMiles) and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (Wyndham Rewards). These promotions begin March 1 and will be available through March 31.
Keep in mind that Capital One currently has a big bonus for the Venture X card, which will end in two weeks.
Capital One Transfer Partners
Customers will need to transfer a minimum of 1,000 Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture or Spark Miles at a time to travel loyalty programs, and will need to transfer in 100 mile increments.If you’re an eligible Capital One cardholder, you can transfer your rewards by signing in to your account online or through the Capital One Mobile app. Once you’re signed in, navigate to the rewards section button and select the option to transfer your miles. Before you confirm, remember that there’s no way to transfer miles back into your Capital One rewards account.
