Capital One Adds JetBlue TrueBlue as Transfer Partner… Again

If you’re invested in the Capital One rewards program then you have a new transfer partner where you can use your miles, JetBlue TrueBlue. JetBlue was a transfer partner in the program briefly from 2019 to 2021.

Capital One Adds JetBlue as Transfer Partner

JetBlue is returning to Capital One’s miles transfer program, enabling cardholders and TrueBlue members to use their points to fly with the US-based carrier to over 100 destinations across the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe.

Venture, Venture X, Venture X Business, and Spark 2X Miles cardholders can now turn the unlimited 2X miles they earn with their Capital One rewards card into TrueBlue points that never expire.

Capital One miles will transfer to JetBlue TruBlue points at the 5:3 ratio (or 1:0.6). That’s 1,200 TrueBlue points for every $1,000 spent (or 2,000 Capital One miles). As you can probably tell, this is not a great way to use Capital One miles, and JetBlue will likely not be a main option for Capital One cardholders. Most of Capital One transfer partners offer a better rate of 1:1.

Other Transfer Options

If you need TrueBlue points, the best option is probably to get one of the JetBlue cards when they have elevated welcome bonuses.

But you can also do better when transferring points from other programs. American Express Membership Rewards points transfer to JetBlue at a ratio of 250:200. So 2,000 Amex points would get you 1,600 TrueBlue points. That’s better than the 2,000 to 1,200 conversion for Capital One to JetBlue.

You can do even better if you have Chase Ultimate Rewards or Citi ThankYou points. Both transfer to JetBlue at a 1:1 ratio.

Capital One Transfer Partners

Customers will need to transfer a minimum of 1,000 Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture or Spark Miles at a time to travel loyalty programs, and will need to transfer in 100 mile increments.

If you’re an eligible Capital One cardholder, you can transfer your rewards by signing in to your account online or through the Capital One Mobile app. Once you’re signed in, navigate to the rewards section button and select the option to transfer your miles. Before you confirm, remember that there’s no way to transfer miles back into your Capital One rewards account.
