Amex Gold Card Revamp on July 25? Higher Fee, New Resy & Dunkin Credit, and Other Changes

Amex Gold Card Revamp

🔃 Update: Online reps are saying that the new White Gold design will be available on July 25, 2024. So it’s possible that this is the date for the other changes as well, including the higher annual fee. If you apply for the Amex Gold Card before these changes, then you can save $75 on the annual fee. The public offer is 60K, but you should be able to see 75K or even 90K if you try incognito, different browsers etc.

Talk of a revamp for the Amex Gold Card has been ongoing for months now. We have already seen hints of a higher annual fee of $325 and a new design option of White Gold.

Then this week, Steve Squeri, Amex Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said that “we look forward to announcing our refreshed U.S. Consumer Gold Card in the coming weeks”.

But the details have been leaked through internal qwww test pages, and they reveal the new benefits that should be coming to the Amex Gold Card.

Higher Annual Fee and New Bonus

  • Annual fee will increase from $250 to $325
  • New signup bonus of 60,000 Membership Rewards Points and 20% back at restaurants, up to a maximum of $100.

  • Five Guys will be added to eligible merchants for $120 Dining Credit, but Milk Bar and Shake Shack will be removed.
