American Express Launches Platinum Member Airfares
Today American Express introduced Platinum Member Airfares™, a new, expanded airfare program for Platinum Card Members booking through Amex Travel. With the launch of Platinum Member Airfares, Amex is bringing even more value to Card Members, including:
- Expanded Savings: Platinum Card® Members can access savings on select flight fares with more than 30 airlines.
- “Fly once, earn twice”: Platinum Card Members can earn 5X Membership Rewards® points (on up to $500,000 in flight purchases per calendar year) while also earning airline miles as they typically would, all on the same ticket.
- Book for yourself and others: Savings can apply to up to seven additional travelers on the same reservation as the eligible Card Member.
As you may have been familiar with Amex Travel’s International Airline Program and Recommended Flights, this new program promises meaningful savings all in one place. American Express Platinum Card Members can save an average of 10% or about $100 per ticket on eligible international premium cabin fares booked through the program.
The airfare discounts are centered around premium economy, business, and first-class tickets with a range of international carriers, like Delta, Lufthansa, Air Canada, China Airlines, Qantas, and more.
