American Airlines has launched a $5,000 package called the “AAdvantage Gold Pass”. Here’s what you get for that price:
- AAdvantage Gold status for one year, which gets you:
- 40% more miles and Loyalty Points
- Priority check-in, security and boarding
- Complimentary upgrades within North America if available
- First checked bag free
- Complimentary Preferred Seats at booking and Main Cabin Extra at check-in
- 100,000 AAdvantage bonus miles
- 15,000 Loyalty Points

You will need to log into your AAdvantage account and then proceed with the purchase. You will actually have to pay $375 in tax as well for a total of $5,375. It codes as an American Airlines purchase.
